When parts need to be cleaned from contaminants, oils, and chemicals, washing systems are used. To achieve effective cleaning, the selected washing fluid must be carefully monitored and adjusted.
The concentration should remain within the recommended range. Careful control extends the bath’s lifespan, but when the fluid becomes saturated, it must be replaced. One way to prolong the use of the washing bath is to ensure that parts from previous machining processes are not unnecessarily contaminated, for example by excessive use of cutting fluid. By optimizing cutting fluid control in earlier steps, you can save money in the washing process—both in terms of chemical usage, production downtime, and disposal costs.
