Grinding
UV keeps cutting fluid in top condition during your grinding processes
UV technology prevents bacterial growth and unpleasant odors, ensuring stable concentration and reducing the need for frequent fluid changes.
Grinding is used to improve the functionality and aesthetics of components, as well as to achieve precise tolerances and dimensions.
To achieve consistent grinding results with good surface finish, it is recommended to keep the cutting fluid concentration within the chemical supplier’s guidelines. Since the concentration generally needs to be relatively low and many grinding processes require only minimal replenishment of new concentrate, it is easy for the concentration to accidentally become too high. Manual handling often leads to excessive concentration, resulting in increased chemical costs and potential technical impact on the process. Foam may also occur, which can be caused by overly high concentration. Conversely, too low a concentration can quickly lead to corrosion risks on parts.

CUSTOMER CASE
SSAB is one step ahead
SSAB strives to be one step ahead legislation and therefore wanted to remove the biocides from their process fluid. Since September 2010 the bacteria is reduced with a Fluid Control Systems.

Maximize uptime – keep production running 24/7
With the right automated process and stable fluid quality, your machines can run around the clock – even when staff resources are limited. Fewer rejects and fewer stoppages mean higher productivity and better use of your capacity.
