Two methods to fight bacteria
Combating bacteria in a process fluid system can be either proactive or reactive.
The reactive methods are used when a bacterial outbreak has already taken place and biocides, for example, are added to check the outbreak. This leads to an imbalance in the system, with the concentration, the pH value and the metalworking fluid's quality varying greatly. The large amount of bacteria eliminated on each individual occasion also risks generating high contents of endotoxins in the fluid, which are a health hazard when inhaled.
Proactive purification of the metalworking fluid, with purification taking place continuously, for example, with a uniform addition of biocide or through one of our solutions, keeps the metalworking fluid balanced. The balance means that the metalworking fluid maintains a higher quality for longer and the health effects are reduced.
